Etosha National Park - one of Africa's greatest!

Etosha National Park is one of the savanna conservation destinations every game and nature lover must visit. “Etosha” means “Great White Place”, referring to the massive mineral pan covering almost 25% of the surface of the Park. This pan partially and temporarily fills with water during the rainy season. It is then when Etosha comes to life. Huge numbers of pelicans, flamingoes and other wading birds arrive, and the perennial springs on the edges of the pan attract a large concentration of wildlife and birds. Accommodation in the park is of world-class standard. The Etosha Lodge is close to Anderson’s Gate and is a self-catering establishment. The Etosha Safari Camp, in the same area, is very affordable and has a wonderful atmosphere. Mokuti Lodge, Onkoshi Lodge, Okaukeujo, Halali Lodge and Namutoni Rest Camp are five-star establishments inside the Park, and the equally excellent Etosha Safari Lodge is situated outside the Park.
